Any Exhaust shops around Rutherford?

Subject: Any Exhaust shops around Rutherford? Tue May 20, 2008 12:26 am

Been having some problem with my FRPP exhaust setup with the passenger side pipes hitting the rear axle. It really just needs an adjustment as we have been putting a temp fix on it by using a little foam pad that stops the very annoying constant rattle and i just need the pipes either adjusted or a more permanent fix to the rattle as the foam pad falls out once in a while.

What's the year of your Mustang by the way? V6 or V8?

v6 and it's an 08, my dad's trying to think of something as well but we only come up with temporary fixes and with all the damn roads around here being horrendous it eventually gets lose and comes out. Where in Lodi are you guys located?

We don't have a formal address yet because we were always considered 32 Rt. 46 East (rear of bldg) which is what used to be Mothers, but here are the directions...

-Rt. 46 East

-Go past Bergen Honda, Mothers (closed down), and then you'll see a Dinette place right after that.

-Make that first right around the corner (Contant Ave.)

-Pull ahead about 500 ft., and our lot is the one between the 2 yellow poles. There's also a sign that says "Yard Space"

I can make it down there pretty much any day of the week, this week. after today at least but i can't make it during the weekend due to my families boat getting put in the water this weekend. Also do you have like an intersection street? with constant ave so i can plug it in my gps as i'm not really familiar with that area.

That's cool. Just give us a call beforehand to make an appointment. Our numbers are:

John 201-835-9514 (anytime after 10:00a)
Steph 201-693-2951 (after 5:30p)

Not really. Sorry. It's right offa Rt. 46 East, so no intersections. It's really a "back road".

If you happen to pass Contant Ave. from the Eastbound side, make the next U-Turn back onto 46 West. After that you'll make the U-turn that goes around Popeyes' drive-thru (make sure you go slow cuz you can miss that turn easy), which will bring you to a light that intersects 46 going both ways. Go straight thru that light...down the hill to the STOP sign, and make that left. That'll be Contant Ave. coming from Rt. 46 West side.

ORRR if it makes it easier for you, I know Rutherford. I can meet you and you can follow me to the shop...

Honestly, that could really help me a lot if that could happen but my dad might know the area well so i can always ask him as well, i'll let you know when i call to make an appt because right now i'm not exactly sure when exactly i'll have a chance this week to go.

Aww...ok hun. We'll be here. If you wanted to do it on a Saturday, since I live right by you, we could meet up. On a weekday, I work from 9-5:30, and I work in Hackensack (still closeby), so I would have to do it after I get out. We would have to see if the shop is still open at that time (sometimes they close it up early), so making an appointment is the best thing to do. PM me if you need anything.

are you useing after market rear pipes? i was useing mac's pipes and could not stop the rattling.gave them the old heave hoo. and put in stock gt pipes behind the pypes x pipe. along with nice sounding on a v6 stock gt mufflers. no more rattle. no more drive by noise tickets from the man.
what was found was the larger unflattened after market pipes tend to hit both the frame and rear axle. guess there is a reason ford has the flat spot on thier stock pipes.

no it's the whole FRPP kit directly from ford, me and my dad know what is causing the vibration but he only has temp ideas and eventually they bump their way out. We also don't have a lift to pull it out and re align it and doing it on jack stands just doesn't cut it for adjusting the exhaust.
