PostSubject: Window Crack/Chip Repair Shop   Mon Jun 02, 2008 5:50 pm

Well just my luck, i solved the mysterious alarm problem this morning thru a shop, seems that the alarm wasn't grounded...all works fine now.

On the way home down 23 this guy with a sport trac lifts a big rock (seeing he didn't have mud guards) it hit my front window and caused a penny size crack and personally I dont know what to do now. Never happened to me before and people are tellin me that the crack will get bigger Sad

help.....thanks

you can go to just about any store wal-mart, kmart they sell a crack repair kit for a few bucks and about an hour of your time you can fix just about any chip in your windshield before it gets worse. i've done it on a few of my cars when it first happened and it never spread out.

Had the windshield changed in my company truck back in Jan., $285. Didn't try any patch work because ice came off the top of a mini van and busted the whole passenger side.

bother stang lover.don't waste your time and hard earned cash. on a try it fix a hole that size right though means a new windsheild in any form way or manner.
if it was a small ding on the out side you can have just about any glass shop do a repair. but check your insurance as some policys cover glass damage fully and have a shop come right you.

if the kit i used to fixed both pieces of glass on my truck worked i am sure it can fix his as his doesn't sound as bad as mine the rock that hit mine went right through both pieces and got stuck in passenger side seat after buying the kit to fix it you couldn't even tell
