NJS Track Day

jonathan as well as several others in the club wanted to get a track rental day together so we can race each other and/or see what our cars are made of. it looks like these are the only 2 we can rent out. i went on englishtowns site and didnt find anything for track rentals. they said their road course is open for renting but i couldnt find anything about renting it.

the prices would be as follows:

Island (20 Car Max)...these prices are based on figures for 20 cars

$3000 for 20 Cars, 2 Lanes, Half Prepped ($150 per car)
$3600 for 20 Cars, 2 Lanes, Fully Prepped ($180 per car)

Atco (15 Car Max)...these prices are based on figures for 15 cars

$3000 for 15 Cars, 2 Lanes, Quarter Prepped ($200 per car)
$4200 for 15 Cars, 2 Lanes, Fully Prepped ($280 per car)...there is not an option for Half Prepped

at those prices, i would definitely choose island beause we can get more cars there for less as well as a fully prepped track for $100 less per car. ill be calling today about dates. once the track and date are set, then it will be first come first served for the cars. this way it will be fair so no one is saying they want to come but then they cant and someone gets screwed out of going when they really want to.

Just let me know how I can help...we can make a list and then have a waiting list if anyone backs out, or can't make it.

i just called island but no one answered and in their message they said "please do not leave any messages on this number at this time..."

i was thinking of setting up the track day for 8/27, 8/28, or 8/29. we can only rent on monday-fridays and that would be at 10am-4pm. unfortunately i know many like myself have work during those times and days, but thats what we have to work with.

if you can aim for late that week since maybe I can get Janice to go after her wisdom teeth removal that Monday....so if you can get it for Thursday or Friday, that would be great.

Now remember, I think we can still get more than 20 people to come and meet up, but only 20 can race. So anyone else who doesn't want to race is welcomed to join us and watch. Maybe hit up the chatterbox before coming back.

For dates that close, You have to leave a down payment... Put me on the list... just let me know if if this is def. happening since I have to take off work and I have to give em at least a week notice..

Whats the difference between half prep and full prep...

20 cars against each other for 6 hours (10-4) w/ unlimited runs

half prep is the track is sprayed down up to 660' whereas fully prepped is sprayed down the 1/4 mile length of 1320'

All you need is half prepped... All you need is to make sure your launch is great.. the rest is nothing....

This sounds like so much fun but sadly I can not afford it, went a little overboard with the modding and I owe the CC people some money scratch
