Right rear brakes are like shot all of a sudden, i think the right rear caliper is hanging up, the left side still has about 3k-5k miles of life left on the pads at the very least but the right rear is totally done. almost digging into the rotor, so i dropped it off at the dealer, i think its time for my extended premium warranty to start earning its keep. lol. anyone also know how much the stock pirelli's are from the dealer? STS only charges $91 a pop.

well good news is i found the TSB for it, i hope they decide to replace the brake pads and rotors too, its a direct cause from having the calipers hanging up.

so i dropped it off last night, and they still haven't even looked at it yet. ANNND they have no rental cars there, until mayyybe next tuesday. WTF kinda dealership is this that has no cars?

oi. they called me up at 4:15 yesterday and told me they couldn't get the lock off without the key. mind you if they told me by 4:00 i could have had the key overnighted to them for delivery today. so instead, now i'm paying $32 for a $14 key to have it overnighted for delivery friday so they can just take the wheel off, god help me if they need to order parts as well. i won't get the car back till monday or tuesday. WTF. luckily the GF lives 5 min. from where i work, so i've just been crashing at her place and since she also works 5 min. from here and we work the same schedule it works out ok. i'm going through withdrawl on the car though, lol.

yea i know, i'm taking all the locks off afterwards, might sell them or something. it just aint worth it. if someone wants to go through the effort of stealin my wheels, i'll get the insurance money and buy the bullits i want, lol.

ok, finally heard back from them. they got the key that i paid to have overnighted to them, took the wheel off, and sat their and tried to say that the caliper wasn't hanging up and thats its normal wear. they want to do all the brakes, and the labor, and flush the break system and charge me about $500 to do it. i told them basically go screw yourselves and i'm gonna pick the car up and do the brakes myself. what a bunch of ripoff's. last time i ever take my damn car to the stealership. and of course their not open tommorow so im leaving work early to go pick up the car today. so when all is said and done...


i paid 33 bux for a 14. wheel key.
paid 30 bux for them to look at my car and tell me its not a warrnty part
lost my car for 4 days.
