| I live in South Jersey, and I just bought my 07 Mustang GT in PA, and I'm going to have to get it inspected in NJ, so my question is :
Will I definitely fail state inspection for failure to attach a front license plate to my vehicle?
I know that you are required by New Jersey Title 39 Motor Vehicle Law to have a front tag attached, but I'm only concerned with passing inspection, and not with the Title 39 equipment violation.
Also, if there is a chance that I may fail state inspection, does anybody know of any shops in South Jersey where I could get passed for cheap with no front tag ? __________________ _________________ 07 Mustang GT Torch Red 5 spd Roush short throw SLP SS cat back 3.55 gears

| Yeah, you'll fail for no front plate. I know quite a few people who have been failing for stupid stuff lately, they seem to be coming down hard on inspections. _________________ '97 GT. | You'll definitely fail. A friend of mine didn't listen to me and know she has to go back again without tint, with a plate and brakes. I always check tires too because they can fail you if your tread is considerably worn.
They've been sticklers about inspection over the past two years or so. I'm not sure about South Jersey but I know a lot of shops in the Monmouth County area are not handling inspections anymore.
Good luck! |

| are you sure about that ?
cause if so, then i'd rather just go through state rather than pay $$$ for a private inspec _________________ 07 Mustang GT Torch Red 5 spd Roush short throw SLP SS cat back 3.55 gears

| If you fail at the state, you have to go back to the state. Keep that in mind... _________________ '97 GT. Installed: Pypes O/R X, Flowmaster 40's, Eibach's, 3.73's Yet to be installed: Bassani ML's, full 2002 PI swap. |

| | A few guys on mustang forums fabbed a license plate bracket for those who don't have/want drilled holes or the 2nd plate - i'd buy one and keep it for inspection use only... the rest of the year, keep it in the closet... lol |

| ROFL an advisory? Id bet you $100,000,000,000,000,000 not only will he definitley fail, but he'll get pulled over constantly as well.
But anyway, on the constructive side of things, there was a guy on ebay that sold license plate brackets that attach under the bumper and leave no holes. it clamps back there. _________________ 07 White GT. | You can bet your ass that if NJ gives you 2 plates, you had better put both on, advisory or not. _________________ Scott

| Could it be that the closer you live to the city (pollution), the stricter the rules? Now that I only have 2 cats instead of 4, I dare not go to a state facility _________________ America's #1 Muscle Car |
