yea it depends on the town too. i have no front plate and the only time the cops mention that to me is if they stop me for something else. like the town i live in now they are strict. Lyndhurst cops look for every little thing to stop you for. when i used to live in jersey city and they would run my plates at a light i was guaranteed to get stopped for something. now that im a lyndhurst resident i havent been stopped in 3 years.

i used to get stopped for the no front plate. and apparently thats probable cause for a sobriety test and a full search of my car.

used to happen to me every night. id think theyd get tired of doing it and never finding anything.

my stang has limo tint all around and i never get stopped for that. and yes once they stop u for a little thing like no front plate they can search u. they searched me before but they were surprised to find nothing.....lol i told the cop straight out i was like look im not a drug dealer i work for PSE&G thats why my car is hooked up this way. but back then i was only like 21...lol

sure they always have probable cause. you could "swerve" "drive suspiciously" "glance at them the wrong way"

now on the other hand, we all need cops and we appreciate what they do. but at times they are a total buzzkill.

more often then not they take advantage of what they can do and go over the top with it.

It true if you dont give them a reason to pull you over they wont to a extent . In my case I cant take my car out wihtout running into at least 2 cops within 10 minutes. One time I just fired the car up an went in house to answer the phone the same cop went up and down my street a bunch of time til i got in it and left my home ( I was sure to wear my seatbelt as I always do ) I mostyl get pulled over cuase they question my collector inspection sticker . they say I bought it all the time lol... That is true to a extent it cost 25 dollars to file the paper work and 10 dollars every time you have to renew it but its not like you can get it at a service staion you can only get it from a State inspection center. One time this cop pulled me over trying to bust my balls ( he was a rookie that I went to school with and he was a dork then too) and started trying to pull some crap about my inspection stiker was a fake . So I told the cop what it was and he told me to shut the F up so I got on my phone called the police staion and has the on duty supervisor come down and expained it all to him and how the officer cursed at me for no reason . The suporvisor had him give me a apology and later I found our it wanst the first time he did somethig like that and he was suspended for like 2 months .

Since then I havent been hassled when I drive my car

a small heads up.sussex county. vernon,hardyston, franklin got money from the state to run 24 -7 speed stops till the 31 of this month, july.

Good to know. I just shelled out about $800 bucks in attorney and court fees last Tuesday. Next time I'll just keep goin when I see cherries in the mirror.
