Who Wants to Help Me Reach 1000 Members Dec 31, 2008???

Hey Everyone,

I was wondering who wanted to help the other members and me promote our Official NJ Mustang Club and break 1000 NJ Stangers members or more by Dec 31, 2008, and have about 400 to 600 Actives.

Theres so many possible ways to promote.

1) Online Forum Promotion like Ford, Mustang, or other Car Related Forums (We are opened to various Fords, so invite any of the listed Categories and others along: Mustang, Merkur, F150 including Lightning, and other Fast Fords)

2) Myspace/Facebook or other Profile Sites

3) Business Cards (1st Batch of 250 is free at www.vistaprint.com)

4) Club Flyers, which anyone can make and post on local Mustangs, or hand out at events and so forth, can be rather simple and to the point with Club Picture and small description and site address

5) PostCard Style Business Cards which are much bigger and easily visible. (1st Batch is free at www.vistaprint.com)

6) Shirts and Polos -- Check the Mustang Club's thread section to order yours or suggest other locations from where to get them.

7) Front/Rear Window Banners, Side or Rear Window Logos with the Club Site Name.

9) When someone is referred, we can have them post the business card they had on another Mustang or Fast Ford and keep us growing.

More Ideas are needed so start posting them here. I need more options for getting custom made shirts, polos, hats, sweaters, and so forth because I know this will be one of the biggest promotional ideas but just need to get it started already. So help us out. Thank You.

I am trying really hard, I tagged 27 to 30 Mustangs in Toms River this weekend with my girlfriend and gave a bunch of cards to Kevin to help us grow in that area.

If we keep growing like this, we won't only have bigger meets and cruises but we can do Charity Events which I am planning on for next Summer, along with several barbecues this year during our Sunday Meets.

there is a very large market for aftermarket parts for mustangs in nj, which means there is a large population of mutangs. the thing is whether or not the people that own mustangs want to be a part of a club.

@ jonathan i was thinking of possibly going to the different ford dealerships and seeing if they could do some advertising for us just by giving out business cards or flyers for everyone that comes in with a fast ford product. idk how cooperative the dealers would be but i figure the worst they could say is no.

Thats not a bad idea, I like that idea, as well as putting business cards at Gas Station stops like how another member of our club did.

I really like the post card/business card idea! For example, you see a mustang(s) in your travels parked, someone getting in or out of a mustang, riding by or stopped at a stop light. What's more complimentry then having someone walk up to saying "hey friend, love your mustang", then handing them a postcard/business card inviting them to join the club. The invite is two fold. It pays them a compliment about their ride and gives the feeling of being invited to something exclusive.

Aloha StangMan! Back from vacation and ready and willing to get busy. hey, I was speaking to a friend of mine who suggested that since everyone in the club has a beautiful Mustang, we should do all member request to have members go on VistaPrint (especially now while they have a free shipping promotion going on) upload their best picture onto a postcard which promotes the club and invites the recipant to join.

With that being said there should be a concensus on what should be on the postcard, so every postcard reads the same. For example, taking you banner: The postcard would have a picture of the member's Mustang, the member's name "StangMan", above would be the "New Jersey Stangers" logo & web address and a greeting and invite to the club.

Example: We love your Mustang! Come join New Jersey's largest and progressive family of Mustang Enthusiast!

i will. i found a shelby gt500 convertible around hte corner rom my house today that i never knew was there. i went to the door to personally give them a business card but no one was home. i left a card in the mail slot saying i was from around the corner and love the car yada yada yada
