| About a month ago, on Route 17 South in Mahwah:
I was on my way home from school. As I merged onto 17, I noticed a little "twinkle" in my review mirror. Broad daylight, these bright HIDs from maybe a 1/2 mile back in the middle lane. I knew it was something fancy, so I slowed down to about 50 and waited for it to catch up to me.
I just continued to stare at my rearview until I could actually make out what it was. And when I did, I couldn't actually believe what it was. Now, I'd seen the car once before, getting gas. (naturally, they build gas stations right next to eachother specifically for this car. Fuel consumption is rated in Gallons Per Mile)
But I never, ever expected to actually come across this car moving, nevermind possibly mess around with it.
The car: a Bugatti friggin Veyron. This particular car is rather famous, it's been posted on a gajillion forums.
So he catches me, and gets in the left lane to pass me. I get a decent look at the driver. He looks sorta like Bono.
The car is... stupidly quiet. I couldn't hear it over my own exhaust. It's really short and stubby and a terrible looking car in person.
Once he gets by me I slip in the left lane behind him and just cruise there for a few miles. Wondering why anyone in their right mind would pay $1,000,000 for this ugly piece of crap when they could've got an actual good car for half the price. (F40)
Along come a 240SX ricebox and a BMW 3 series of some sort. They start driving around like idiots battling for who gets the middle lane next to the Veyron. I sit back and just laugh at these retards nearly hitting atleast 5 other cars. Eventually they decide to go at it, weaving in and out of traffic doing the general ricer BS.
I stay with my "target" waiting for the driver to do SOMETHING. I wanna see what this damn car can do!
He gets open road after about 10 minutes, and starts speeding up.. cruising at 110.
Then, out of nowhere, he just....
The car teleported.
I can't even explain what it did.
I floored it immediately but it was just like I was standing still.
I've never seen anything move like that in my entire life. Every time I see someone get on it in a truly fast car the rear end sits and the exhaust note gets loud and you know.
Not this. This car just basically hovered up to what I would guess was 150ish. But it only took like a split second.
Then I realized why he actually got on it.
To do a Jersey Merge all the way to the right lane to catch his exit.
.........
Same car, off LS1GTO.com

Cut from the left lane to the right lane as fast as possible, without your blinker, and without checking your mirrors.
That's how to Jersey Merge. _________________ '97 GT. Installed: Pypes O/R X, Flowmaster 40's, Eibach's, 3.73's Yet to be installed: Bassani ML's, full 2002 PI swap. |

| here is the after affect of one of those rt 17 south mahwah sweepts. i was in it when a ricer racing to lincoln tech did one of those full left lane to island road off tricks. i locked the brakes and wound up under a box truck after i think 3 full 360's in the right lane.
the car was a vw golf all wheel drive specaility car.
