PostSubject: passenger side floor is soaked..   Wed Jul 16, 2008 10:33 am

so I got in my car yesterday and i noticed it smelled a little funky. I started to feel around and it turns out my passenger side floor is friggin soaked with water. i did my best to dry it up but now im afraid my car is gonna wreakk. any ideas how to prevent it from smelling???

im just gonna drop it off at the mechanic later but from what i hear its either leak in the windshield, a leaking a/c compressor, or the drainage system is clogged.

It's a leak either in the windshield, or the door/window.

Theres no way a compressor leak is going to cause that, and I don't even know what "Drainage system" your mentioning.

What year is your car?

Leak in the windshield, grommet on the firewall or even those trim pieces in your door sills. I theyre not popped in all the way they let water in.

tru, now that I think of it, my DDs floor got soaked when the A/C drain got pluged (great german engineering ) with dirt so that could always be a possibility.
